Meet our wonderful team

Dr Karlekar qualified from the prestigious Guy’s Hospital, London, in 1999. He provides all aspects of general dentistry, with special interest in crown and bridge work, dental implants, and endodontics (root canal). He has completed many advanced courses in these fields, and routinely treats more complex cases that other dentists are unable to undertake.

Dr Karlekar is also a former Honorary Clinical Teacher at Guy’s Hospital, London where he was responsible for the teaching and training of undergraduate dental students for almost ten years.

With over 25 years of experience, he has an amazing enthusiasm and passion for dentistry, and provides the most up-to-date treatments for his patients. He has a very personalised and patient-focused approach which helps every patient to feel comfortable and at ease during their journey.

Dr Karlekar has many years of experience working with dental implants. In 2014, he undertook a year-long course and achieved a Certificate in Implant Dentistry. He completed further advanced training in bone grafting and sinus augmentation procedures in 2015. Dr Karlekar is now able to offer a comprehensive implant service from start to finish.

Monika graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2020 and is a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist. She has a strong foundation in dental hygiene, and brings the latest knowledge and techniques to her practice to ensure her patients receive the highest quality care.

Since earning her degree, Monika has established herself as a dedicated professional, known for her gentle touch and thorough approach to oral health. She excels in preventive care and patient education, and loves helping her patients achieve excellent oral health.

In her free time, Monika enjoys riding horses, countryside walks, and competing in agility with her dog, Pip!

Ann is our senior dental nurse in the practice and also our infection control lead. She has also achieved a certificate in oral health education.

Ann joined the practice in January 2020, bringing over 30 years of experience in dental nursing and general dental practice, including implant treatment.

Nicola joined our practice in 2025, bringing with her several years of combined dental nursing skills and previous experience as a practice manager. Having successfully managed several dental practices, she understands both the clinical and operational aspects of delivering an exceptional patient journey.

Her clinical experience, including training in dental implant nursing, enables her to assist with complex procedures whilst ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care. Nicola’s technical skills are matched by her natural ability to connect with patients, particularly those who may feel anxious about dental visits.

As a former dental nurse, Sarah has a wealth of experience in dentistry, and is our valued practice administrator and receptionist.

Sarah is your first point of contact when you visit our practice, and is always ready with a friendly smile to welcome you! Whether you are a new patient or an existing one, she is happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have about your dental treatment or any administrative matters.

Sue is a former dental nurse of the practice who retired in 2017 after some 22 years. She is well known to many of our patients and still provides occasional cover on reception.
